Paige Pipher and Alyssa Hebb Score for Women's Lacrosse in 24-2 Loss to Jefferson

PHILADELPHIA, Penn. -- Looking to build off its best offensive performance of the season earlier in the week, Post University Women's Lacrosse was stifled at the hands of Jefferson University in Thursday afternoon's road matchup, falling 24-2. Junior midfielder Paige Pipher and senior midfielder Alyssa Hebb accounted for the only two Post goals, bringing them to seven and five goals, respectively, on the year.

THE BASICS

Post University 2, Jefferson University 24

Post University (0-8, 0-8 CACC)

Jefferson University (8-7, 6-1 CACC)

HOW IT HAPPENED
Both of the goals for Post would come in the first half as Pipher got them on the board in the first, cutting into their deficit to make it a three-goal game, 4-1, while Hebb's second-quarter goal made it 10-2 with 1:53 left in the first half. Of the 26 combined goals scored between the two teams, 18 of them were unassisted, and among assist leaders was sophomore attacker Reagan Rogers with three on the day en route to her six-point afternoon after scoring three times.

Graduate goalie Lauren Bain played the first three quarters, making eight saves and allowing 17 goals before being lifted in the fourth quarter for freshman goalie Aviana Ramos. Ramos, who has now played in four games this season, made two saves on nine shots, bringing her save total to 13 on the season.

Despite being outshot 46-7 overall and 30-2 in shots on goal, the Eagles converted on both of their shots against sophomore goalie Kalyn Ammerlaan in her 38:02 of action. Ammerlaan, who got the win, exited without making a save in the affair while freshman goalie Victoria Rossi faced no shot opportunities from the Post offense in the final 21:58.

11 different players found the back of the net for the Rams, including five players finishing with hat-tricks, but no player except Rogers finishing with more than one assist in the 24-2 win, while sophomore attacker Lily Lutz led all scorers with four goals.
