For First Time in School History, Post University Earns Back-to-Back CACC Student-Athletes of the Month, Harrison Warnock Wins Award for Men's Basketball in January

WATERBURY, Conn. -- Becoming only the second Post University Men's Basketball player in program history, the fourth Post athlete in school history, and giving the institution their fifth honoree overall, graduate forward Harrison Warnock from the Men's Basketball team was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference's Student-Athlete of the Month for January 2025 as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.

Warnock joins D.J. Jarrett who was named the CACC's Student-Athlete of the Month in December 2019 as the only other Eagle from the Men's Basketball program to be named to the honor. Furthermore, Warnock's award for January makes it the first time in school history in which Post University has earned the CACC Student-Athlete of the Month award in back-to-back months as senior guard Naj White from the Women's Basketball team was the recipient of the award in December.

A three-time CACC Honor Roll mention this season in the Men's Basketball Weekly Awards, Warnock averaged 13.6 points and 7.3 rebounds across nine games during January for Post in which the Eagles went 4-4. The graduate student shot 42.9% from the floor with a 63.3% clip from the free throw line as well as recorded his fourth and fifth double-doubles of the season against Holy Family University on the road and Felician University at home.

Against the Tigers, Warnock went for 19 points and 12 rebounds while shooting 6-for-13 (46.2%) from the floor. His double-double at home against the Golden Falcons featured 14 points on 5-of-13 (38.5%) shooting to go along with his 10 rebounds as Warnock led the Eagles to wins in both games in which he reached the double-double mark.

In the classroom, Warnock has maintained a 3.69 GPA throughout his graduate studies as he pursues a degree in Business Administration after earning his Bachelors of Science in Finance. In the community, Warnock and the Men's Basketball program spent the day earlier this season in November hosting a Basketball Clinic at the local YMCA in Naugatuck, Connecticut.

Post University heads on the road for a quick matchup this evening against Felician University at 5:00 PM in a rematch of their game in the Drubner Center earlier this season. In that game, the Eagles came out on top, 74-69, winning their fifth straight game against the Golden Falcons since the 2022-23 season and ninth game in their last 10 in the all-time series.
