Derrick Thomas II was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Honor Roll for Post University Men's Basketball after his big week for the Eagles in a pair of conference games, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Thomas II led Post with 38 points across two wins for the Eagles, averaging out to 19 points per game to go along with his 6.5 rebounds per game as Post moved to 2-1 in conference play with victories over the University of Bridgeport and Holy Family University. Thomas II picked up his second double-double of the season with 22 points and 10 rebounds against the Purple Knights in a 75-68 win for the Eagles, before leading them with 16 points against the Tigers in that 71-57 victory. The graduate student also tacked on four assists and two steals, while shooting 50% from the floor (13-for-26), 33.3% from three (3-for-9), and 75% from the free throw line (9-for-12).
Back on the road for a game, Post University will go to Jefferson University next Saturday at 3:00 PM to face the Rams. The Eagles have won their last two matchups with Jefferson, both of which were played last season, and the most recent one coming in the CACC Semifinals, an 85-78 overtime victory.
