WINCHENDON, Mass. -- For the second time in four games so far this season, Post University Men's Ice Hockey was shut out, this time by Franklin Pierce University on the road, 3-0, on Friday night up in Winchendon, Massachusetts. Since their six-goal outing against WestConn to open the season, the Eagles have been held to one goal over the last three games, getting outscored 10-1 in that stretch.

Franklin Pierce University (4-2-0, 3-0-0 NE10)
HOW IT HAPPENED
The power-play struggles for Post continued as they are now 1-for-14 over their last three games, with the one goal coming against Assumption University last Saturday in a 3-1 loss. Against Franklin Pierce, the Eagles would go 0-for-4 on the man-up advantage, but also continue their dominance on the penalty kill, holding the Ravens off the board on all five of their attempts, including a five-minute penalty in the third issued to sophomore forward
TJ Haas.
So far this season, the Post power penalty kill has only allowed one goal on 15 attempts, meaning nine of the 10 goals scored by opponents this year have come at even strength. That would be the case on Friday as three different players from Franklin Pierce found the back of the net against senior goalie
Benjamin Cunneen in junior forward John Sterling, freshman forward Drew White, and sophomore forward Mario Paganini.
Cunneen would finish the game making 18 saves, as Post outshot Franklin Pierce by a 26-21 margin overall, but senior goalie Jeremy Connor earned his first shutout of the season, making all 26 saves in what would be a 3-0 win for the Ravens on home ice. Franklin Pierce moves to a perfect 3-0-0 record in conference play this year under new Head Coach Conor Foley, who was a 2022 graduate of the institution after closing with just two wins overall and in conference play last season under Head Coach Ken Gernander.
