WILMINGTON, Del. – Graduate outside hitter
Kristina Peric has been on a tear for Post University Women's Volleyball, recording her fourth straight match with 20+ kills, Peric went off for 27 kills and a .290 attack percentage, now hitting above .280 in each of the last four matches, to help lead the Eagles to 10-0 in conference play with a four-set win, 3-1, over Wilmington University on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Never wavering after dropping the first set, 25-18, the Eagles came back with three straight sets in which they came out on top by identical 25-20 scores to win their seventh straight match and move to 20-3 on the year, the best record since the 2016 season. Post never trailed after the first set either, only tying four times in the third set, while never having a tie or a lead change in the second or fourth sets.
Graduate setter
Alice DiFrancesco, who reached 2,000 career assists in the match against Caldwell University during the week, had a season-best 49 assists for the Eagles, adding on 14 digs for another double-double, five kills leading to a .333 attack percentage, and four more service aces. As a team, Post finished with a .275 attack percentage, with set one being their lowest mark with a 0.24 and set three being their best with a .316 performance.
Beyond Peric's 27 kills, in which she added on 14 digs, sophomore middle blocker
Alani Duncan had nine kills and only one error, leading to a .471 attack percentage, which led the team, while freshman outside hitter
Elyana Ortiz was right behind her with eight kills and a .273 attack percentage. Senior libero
Alyssa Groves led Post with 26 digs as one of four players for the Eagles who finished with double-digit digs, along with Peric, DiFrancesco, and junior outside hitter
Vivien Andrea Fehervari.
Boasting a .156 attack percentage, Wilmington had only two players in double digits for kills, led by sophomore outside hitter Karla Nunez-Rivera with 14 kills, followed by sophomore outside hitter Eliza Schneider with 13 kills. Nunez-Rivera finished with a .151 attack percentage while Schneider attacked at a .256 clip. Sophomore libero Morgan Daniels dug out 22 balls defensively, while graduate setter Christine Covello netted 20 assists to lead the offense, with sophomore setter Cam Justus close behind with 15 digs.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Sitting at 2,390 career digs after tonight's match, Alyssa Groves is only 133 digs away from surpassing Chestnut Hill College's Regina Trabosh for the most digs in CACC history, with 2,533 career digs from 2013-16
- Kristina Peric has now recorded 20+ kills in four consecutive matches, attacking above .280 in all four instances -- Peric has 13 matches this year in which she has gone over 20 kills
- Alice DiFrancesco now has 16 double-doubles on the season after having a season-high 49 assists to go along with her 14 digs in the win
- At 20-3 this season, Post University is off to its best start since the 2016 season, in which they began the year with a 24-3 record before ending the season 26-6 -- That year also coincides with the only season the Eagles were undefeated at home, going a perfect 13-0, whereas this year they are currently 9-0 at home with four matches left following tonight's win
WHO'S NEXT
Post University begins its final three-game homestand on Tuesday evening with its final non-conference match of the regular season against Southern New Hampshire University. This will be their first matchup since the 2021 season and only the third since 2015, both of which have been won by the Eagles.
