WILMINGTON, Del. -- Five Post Women's Volleyball players finished with 10-plus digs as part of an 82-dig afternoon for the Eagle defense, while graduate outside hitter
Kristina Peric led the team with 22 kills as Post held off Goldey-Beacom College's comeback attempt after trailing by two sets, to navigate their way to their third consecutive conference win, 3-2, on Saturday afternoon.

Goldey-Beacom College (8-8, 2-2 CACC)
HOW IT HAPPENED
The 82 digs for Post as a team were the second-most they have had this year, behind only their match against Mercy University, which also went five sets after the Eagles held a 2-0 lead after two sets, when they manufactured 95 digs in that matchup. Senior liberoÂ
Alyssa Groves led the team with 25 digs, but junior outside hitter
Vivien Andrea Fehervari had 16 digs, sophomore defensive specialist
Alexa Arnold finished with 11 digs, and both graduate setter
Alice DiFrancesco and Peric each had 10 digs as every single player for Post had at least one recorded dig in the win.Â
In a match where Post had their most attack errors for a single game at 33 and their lowest attack percentage of the season at .084, they were able to limit the errors down the stretch to just seven combined in the final two sets after committing 26 errors through the first three sets. Not producing much better than the Eagles, Goldey-Beacom had just a .124 attack percentage with 26 errors with 47 kills, just one less than Post, who finished with 48 kills.Â
16 ties and nine lead changes made up the entirety of the match, but they would all come in the first two sets, including 13 ties and seven lead changes in the second set alone. Over the final three sets, neither side would work to a tie, and the team that scored the first point would go on to win the set without the opposition pulling even or in front. Post opened up an 8-3 lead in the first set after trailing 3-2 with a 6-0 run, never trailing again after that en route to a 25-22 victory.Â
Once again trailing in set two, a pair of Lightning errors helped spur a 3-0 run for the Eagles that tied the set with an Arnold service ace at 20 all and following a block from sophomore middle hitter Gabi Fullwood and junior opposite hitter Baylee Brin, Brin's attack error to follow started a stretch of four straight errors by Goldey-Beacom to help Post complete the second set comeback with a 25-23 win.Â
Never leading in sets three or four, Post would have to go to the fifth set for the fifth time this year, after falling 25-17 in both of those sets, and enter that decisive set with a 3-1 record so far this season. Off to a 4-0 start, which was led by sophomore middle blocker
Alani Duncan's kill and three Lightning miscues, the Eagles never fell behind on their way to a 15-9 game-ending set win, moving to 12-2 this season and 3-0 in conference play, winning their fifth straight match against Goldey-Beacom, 3-2.Â
DiFrancesco continued her double-double streak for Post, making it five consecutive matches after recording 34 assists and 10 digs. Sophomore libero Gaby Fernandez led all players with 34 digs for the Lightning, while three players had 10-plus kills in Fullwood, with a team-leading 14 kills, followed by Brin with 13 kills and junior outside hitter Giuliana Jaku with 11 kills.Â
