BLOOMFIELD, N.J. – Senior guard
Naj White scored a team-high 16 points on 7-for-18 shooting for Post University Women's Basketball, but the offensive shooting struggles for the Eagles would be too much for them to overcome against Bloomfield College in their road matchup Tuesday night, falling 59-45, against the Bears.
This is the eighth time this season in which Post has been unable to produce 50 points or more offensively in a game and has lost all eight of those games by 10 or more points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
After jumping out to a 5-0 lead in the first 1 ½ minutes of the game, scoring would be a struggle for the rest of the half for the Eagles. Sophomore forward
Alyssa Rossignol and freshman guard
Jackie Russell aided in giving Post that early lead before the Bears attacked back with eight straight points led by five from senior guard Taneshia Tucker helping them take a 12-9 lead heading into the second.
Following the jumper from White which got the Eagles to nine points with 2:04 left in the first, a scoring drought would ensue for Post that would last until the 3:10 mark of the second quarter when White's layup cut the now 12-point deficit down to 10 points. As a team, Post shot just 6-for-27 (22.2%) from the field and 1-for-12 (8.3%) from three while Bloomfield nearly doubled their output with a 10-for-23 (43.5%) half and 3-for-12 (25%) shooting from three.
Post would head into the break down 13 points, 26-13, after putting up just four points in the second quarter and were led by Rossignol and White with four a piece. On the Bears' side, Tucker led all scorers with 12 points, shooting 4-for-6 from the field and draining 2-of-4 long balls while grabbing five rebounds as well as playing all 20 minutes.
While the offensive output in the second half resulted in 32 points and an 11-for-29 (37.9%) shooting half for the Eagles, the Bears continued their solid shooting performance with a 13-for-24 (54.1%) half which helped them maintain their double-digit lead the rest of the way. The deficit would get to as few as 11 points with 7:58 to go in the third for Post while rising to as many as 24 points with 7:07 left in the affair before a late 9-0 run by the Eagles brought it back down to 12 points in the closing minutes of the 59-45 defeat.
In addition to White's 16-point outing, Rossignol continued her double-digit scoring streak with 14 points in 24 minutes on 5-of-13 shooting while narrowly missing a double-double with eight rebounds which led the team. For Bloomfield, Tucker played all 40 minutes and nearly had a triple-double after scoring 19 points on 7-for-12 shooting while accounting for nine rebounds and eight assists in the win. Senior guard Kamrin Babbs was the only other Bear to play all 40 minutes as well as reach double-digit points with 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting with five rebounds and five assists.
Neither team was able to hold onto the ball as they finished with 20-plus turnovers, but the Bloomfield offense scored 21 points off the 27 turnovers by the Eagles while Post only had 10 points on 20 Bear turnovers. Despite winning the rebound battle, 30-25, and grabbing more offensive rebounds than defensive rebounds (16 Off., 14 Def.) the Eagles lost the battle in the paint by a 26-12 margin. Minus their 6-for-20 shooting evening from three-point range, the Bears ended the night 17-for-27 (62.9%) from inside the three-point line whereas Post was 12-for-30 (40%).
