HOW IT HAPPENED
All three Doubles went the way of the Griffins with seniors Nina Langenfeld and Megan Lombardt falling by a score of 6-2 in the #1 Doubles to sophomore Lilian Bandel and graduate student Alison Issac. The freshmen duos of Melanie Leussink and Annelein Van Urk as well as Julie Merlin and Gioia Turco both fell in their respective matches, 6-1 and 7-5.

In the #2 Doubles, it was junior Claudia Rasilla and senior Romi Meirovich with the victory while the #3 Doubles was secured by freshman Annabel Snow and senior Anisha Reddy Thada to give Chestnut Hill the Doubles point.

All six Singles would end in two sets as Melanie Leussink fell first in the #5 Singles to Rasilla, 6-2 and 6-0, followed by Van Urk dropping the #3 Singles to Meirovich, 6-4 and 6-1. Those two matches would finish just before Turco fell as well in the #6 Singles to Reddy Thada, 6-0 and 6-4.

The other three Singles, all of which went the way of the Griffins, were won by Bandel in the #2 Singles, 6-4 and 6-2 over Merlin, Snow over Langenfeld in the #4 Singles, 6-3 and 6-4, then closed out by the #1 Singles in which Issac beat Lombardt, 6-1 and 7-5, to wrap up the 7-0 sweep.
