WILMINGTON, Del. – Junior guard
Naj White had a career day for Post University Women's Basketball, scoring 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting in 28 minutes, but 51 combined points from senior forward Janiya Stevens and sophomore guard Rory Ciszkowski led the way for Goldey-Beacom College, who avenged their 52-point defeat against the Eagles earlier this year with a 79-72 win at home.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Graduate guard
TiJanae Simmons led the way at halftime with 12 points on 4-of-9 shooting while half her shots came from three-point land in which she was 4-for-8 from there. However, Ciszkowski went ballistic in the first half for Goldey-Beacom, dropping 26 points while shooting 9-of-10 from the floor and making all eight of her three-point attempts. Ciszkowski had over half of the Lightnings' points at halftime in which Goldey-Beacom held a 41-34 lead.
Overall, for the first half, Goldey-Beacom was 9-of-16 from three with eight of those made threes coming solely from Ciszkowski while as a team the Lightning were 13-of-28 with nine of those made field goals coming from the sophomore. Stevens also took care of business from the free throw line for Goldey-Beacom as a perfect 6-for-6 performance from her was all the Lightning shot from the charity stripe.
Post trailed by as many as nine points in the first 20 minutes, falling behind 29-20 with 6:58 to go in the second quarter, but never once had the lead either. From the jump, Goldey-Beacom jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead and never relinquished their edge.
While Ciszkowski would go quiet in the third, being held to only two points, Stevens would come alive for eight in the quarter to bring her total to 15 points while Goldey-Beacom continued to extend their lead. The deficit never shrunk to less than nine points for Post but would balloon to as many as 13 points and sit at 12 points, 62-50, with only 10 minutes left to play.
While a comeback effort in the fourth would see the Eagles cut their deficit down to five on a couple of occasions and get down to three with 38 seconds left following a three by graduate point guard
Dede Stevenson, the Lightning would close out Post from the free throw line. Two offensive rebounds on the ensuing possession by Goldey-Beacom forced the Eagles to foul and Stevens would hit all four of her attempts down the stretch to help the Lightning pull away, 79-72.

WHO'S NEXT
Post University heads home for a big conference matchup against Felician University next Saturday at the Drubner Center with tip-off scheduled for 1:00 PM. In the road game the Eagles played against the Golden Falcons this season, it was Felician besting Post by a score of 81-68. The game will heavily impact the North Division title with Felician having defeated Georgian Court earlier in the day. A win for Post would put them up at least two games with two remaining for the division title depending on the outcome of the Felician-Bridgeport game on Tuesday night.
