WATERBURY, Conn. -- For the second time this season, senior forward
Deng Deang was named to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Honor Roll for Post University Men's Basketball as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon.
Deang led all Post scorers with 47 points across two games, averaging 23.5 points per game for the Eagles during a 1-1 week which featured a win on the road over Queens College and a home loss to Saint Anselm College. Deang finished the week shooting 18-for-33 (54.5%) overall while going 7-for-16 from three (43.8%) and making all four of the free throws he took. The senior scored 34 points in a 91-74 loss to the Hawks while shooting 13-for-22 from the field and 4-of-10 from three after dropping 15 points against the Knights on 5-of-11 shooting on November 26th. Deang also grabbed 13 rebounds, averaging 6.5 per game to go along with two steals and two assists.
Post University kicks off conference play on Tuesday evening on the road against Dominican (N.Y.) with a 7:30 PM tip-off time from Orangeburg, New York. The Eagles split their two games against the Chargers last season, winning at home by two points, 79-77, before falling 91-83 on the road two months later. In the all-time series, Post is currently 22-21 against Dominican (N.Y.) while going 3-3 in their last six games against them.
