FAIRFIELD, Conn. – Heading down to Fairfield, Connecticut to take on a tough test in Division I Sacred Heart University, Post University Women's Basketball held their own as all 13 players saw action for the Eagles and were led by sophomore forward
Alyssa Rossignol's eight points in a 63-45 defeat at the hands of the Pioneers on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Junior guard Ny'Ceara Pryor, who led all scorers with 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting in her 22 minutes of action for Sacred Heart, kicked things off with a three as part of a 5-0 run to start the game for the Pioneers before freshman guard
Jasmine Day-Cox hit on of her two free throws to get the Eagles on the board. Trailing 7-3, an 11-0 run by Sacred Heart gave them a 15-point lead which ballooned to as many as 15 points before sophomore forward
Emma Carman's three made it a 22-10 game heading into the second.
The Pioneer lead would get as high as 32 points, 55-23, with 3:22 remaining in the third quarter, but a 19-7 fourth quarter for the Eagles helped them bring the game back to a respectable margin, 63-46. As a team, Post shot 29.6% from the floor, going 16-for-54 overall while making 6-of-26 threes (23.1%) and hitting 8-of-12 (66.7%) of their free throws in the loss. Their best shooting quarter was that fourth quarter in which they shot 46.6% from the floor and made 3-of-6 threes.
10 of the 13 players for the Eagles finished with at least one point while eight players from Sacred Heart recorded points and only two finished in double figures. Besides Pryor's 21-point outing, sophomore center Emma Kirby finished with 10 points on 5-of-6 shooting in 20 minutes of playing time. As a team, the Pioneers shot 42.9% overall, going 24-of-56 with their shooting decreasing with each quarter to a game-low 25% in the fourth.

Post University plays its rescheduled game against Queens College on Monday evening down in Flushing, New York at 6:00 PM. The Eagles have won six of their last seven matchups against the Knights dating back to the 2009-10 season with the last three coming by six points or less, including a 61-55 win at home last season.
