WATERBURY, Conn. – It was just what the doctor ordered for Post University Women's Volleyball on Thursday night at home against Dominican (N.Y.). After three consecutive matches that went to a nail-biting five sets, the Eagles took care of business in sweeping fashion, 3-0, against the Lady Chargers in the Drubner Center to earn themselves their first home CACC Tournament Quarterfinals match since 2018 in a couple of weeks as either the one or two seeds in the CACC North Division.
After Thursday night's results, the Eagles still lead the University of Bridgeport for first place in the division with three games left and the tiebreaker in hand. A win against Georgian Court University on Saturday would clinch the CACC North Division Regular Season Championship for Post while a loss would still keep the Purple Knights alive depending on the outcome of their match against Wilmington University.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Graduate outside hitter
Kristina Peric led all players with 11 kills on 29 attempts for a .379 attack percentage while Dominican (N.Y.) had no players reach double figures in kills. It was junior outside hitter Elizabeth Perez with seven kills leading the way for the Lady Chargers after having a team-high 14 kills in the four-set loss to the Eagles earlier in the season at home.
Graduate setter
Izabella Rae had a new career high in total blocks with eight assisted blocks in the match, doubling her previous record of four blocks in each of the last two seasons which also came against Dominican (N.Y.). As a team Post recorded 12.5 total blocks which was a season-best surpassing their mark of 11 total blocks against the University of New Haven back on September 25th.
After setting the program record for most career digs, junior libero led the team and match once again with 25 digs to continue extending her edge on the all-time record while on the other end graduate libero Linda Armao Peng had a team-high 15 digs followed by 11 digs from senior outside hitter Kaitlyn Carr which is the same number of digs as graduate outside hitter
Sara Enright had for Post.
As a team, Post University attacked at a .268 for the match while committing just 11 errors over the course of the three sets comparable to 20 errors and a .057 attack percentage for Dominican (N.Y.). After a tightly played first set that saw the Lady Chargers gallop out to a 4-1 lead and continue to maintain a slight edge into the later stage of the set, the Eagles would find their window down 22-21 with a 4-1 run of their own to bookend the set with a 25-23 victory capped off by Enright's kill.
In that first set, the Eagles attacked at a match-low .196 with 15 kills before ramping it up to the tune of a .333 second set and .313 third set en route to their win. On the Dominican (N.Y.) side of things, they would see their attack percentage decrease from a match-high .130 with 15 kills down to a .111 and then a -.125 over the course of the next two sets which Post would take by identical 25-14 scores to finish off the sweep.
