Men's Basketball Climbs Back into Top 25 in NABC National Poll, Continues Climb in D2CSC and CBB Nation Polls -- Ranked First in D2CSC East Region Poll for First Time in Program History

WATERBURY, Conn. -- After losing to Daemen University on the road the other week, Post University Men's Basketball fell out of the National Association of Basketball Coaches Top 25 Poll but had still been receiving votes, when it came to the D2CSC Media Poll the Eagles had gone from 21st to 24th, and then in the CBB Nation Poll they were dropped from 19th to 21st. But after a perfect 2-0 week with wins against Felician University and Molloy University, Post was back on the up and up in all three of the latest polls which were released on Tuesday afternoon.

Additionally following the loss, Post fell down to third in the D2CSC East Region Poll, but after last week's results leaped over St. Thomas Aquinas and Saint Michael's to claim the top spot in the region for the first time in program history after receiving three first-place votes compared to two for the Spartans and one for the Purple Knights.

In the NABC National Poll, the Eagles came in 23rd and were among four previous unranked teams to move into the top 25 alongside Missouri Western, USC Aiken (S.C.), and Minot State (N.D.). The poll notably puts them at the top of the pack when it comes to East Region teams as they are now ranked the highest among them with St. Thomas Aquinas dropping out of the top 25 after suffering back-to-back losses.

An unprecedented leap in the D2CSC Top 25 National Poll saw the Eagles go an impressive 13 spots up in the rankings to just outside the top 10 in the nation at 11th. The jump is once again program history as the highest in the national rankings the Eagles have ever been and in that poll as well they are now the highest-ranked team in the East Region with St. Thomas Aquinas dropping down to 16th.

In the CBB Nation Poll, the Eagles leaped to their highest mark in program history at 16th in the nation while also leapfrogging St. Thomas Aquinas who fell to 20th in that poll as well to make them the highest-ranked East Region team currently.

Tomorrow evening at 7:30 PM, the Eagles return to the Drubner Center floor to face Caldwell University who made the NCAA Tournament last season. However, the Cougars have struggled thus far in the season with a 6-7 record overall and 2-2 conference record heading into the game.
