LOCK HAVEN, Penn. -- Starting their season off against the team that kicked off Post University Football's start as a varsity program a year ago, it was Lock Haven University emerging victorious over the Eagles who were on the road to start the season, 58-7, after a 28-0 first quarter set the tone for the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bald Eagles got on the scoreboard right away as a fumble by sophomore wide receiver
Jermaine Tillery led to a 48-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown the other way by graduate linebacker Cody Romano that put Lock Haven up 7-0 just over two minutes into the game. A little over a minute later, that lead would grow to 14 points when sophomore defensive back Victor Hunt picked off graduate
Simon Burkett for a 30-yard pick-six.
Graduate quarterback Danny Sanchez tacked on two more touchdown passes for the Bald Eagles in the first quarter who led by 28 points after one and 28-0 at the halftime break. Sanchez would finish the game with three touchdown passes on 9-of-14 passing with 121 passing yards while adding another score with his legs in the second half.
The lone touchdown of the afternoon for the Eagles would come in the third quarter when junior running back
Isaiah Emmanuel would run into the end zone for a five-yard touchdown run, cutting the deficit to 28-7 before Lock Haven closed the game scoring 30 unanswered points.

WHO'S NEXT
Post University plays their first of three home games for the 2023 season when they take on Lincoln University (Pa.) next Saturday afternoon at Municipal Stadium in Waterbury, Connecticut at 1:00 PM. This will be the first matchup between the two sides in program history. Parking costs $10 for all Eagles' home games this season, but admission into the stadium will be free.
