With the Eagles leading just 4-3 with 1:27 remaining, Jonah McNaughton – who is primarily a defender- scored his first goal of the season and second in his career on a shot from ten yards out, making it a 5-3 game going into the half.

Post briefly took the lead back on a goal from Nicholas Steele, his third of the season nudging his defender out of the way for an opening and firing home his third goal of the season.

Dominican tied the game up one more time, but the Eagles closed out the quarter with goals from Ryan Denike and McGrayne just 49 seconds apart. On Denike's goal, Lockyer found him on the left side without a defender in sight and easily put the ball into an open net, putting Post back up, 8-7. On McGrayne's second goal of the game off a pass from Cooke to make it a 9-7 game.

Gignac scored his second of the game just 2:01 into the fourth period faking a shot at the goalkeeper at first then sneaking one by to make it a 10-7 game.
