Box Score Shelton, CT - The Post University men's hockey team lost a 3-1 game to Saint Michael's on Friday evening at The Rinks at Shelton in Northeast-10 (NE10) action.

Post is now 6-20-2 on the season and 4-13-2 in the NE10. Saint Michael's is 13-11-1 overall and 12-7-1 in the conference.

The Purple Knights got the scoring going just 3:42 into the game on a slapshot from Zach Taylor to go up, 1-0. Saint Michael's added a second in the second period on the first goal of the season for Jake Leale who deflected a shot into the net to make it 2-0.

After going scoreless for almost 59 minutes, Post got on the board as Niko Grollman scored his tenth goal of the year, taking two shots at the net after a shot from Connor Murray from the faceoff circle to make it 2-1 as the Eagles had an extra attacker on.

However, the Purple Knights added an empty net goal with 15 seconds left to secure the win.

The Eagles wrap up their regular season against the Purple Knights on Saturday at 2:15 p.m. as a part of Senior Day.
