Late Bucket From Haines Completes Women’s Basketball Comeback Win Over Caldwell

Caldwell, N.J. Sha'Raya Haines made a circus layup to complete a late fourth quarter comeback as the Post University women's basketball team defeated Caldwell, 66-64 on Tuesday evening in an important Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) North game.

With the Eagles trailing 64-63 with under ten seconds left, Haines took the ball at the top of the key, beat her main defender off the dribble. As the defense came to help and collapse on her, Haines took a running hook over the outstretched arms of Caldwell's Lucy Coogan that banked in to give the Eagles the one-point lead. Haines was also fouled on the play, and made the free-throw to take a 66-64 lead with 5.2 seconds left. Caldwell rushed down on the final possession to go for the win, but a charge from Saundra Cleckley gave the Eagles the ball and the win.

After a jumper from Coogan gave the Cougars a 59-49 lead, Haines started the rally on the next possession, hitting a three to cut the lead to seven.
