RINDGE, N.H. -- A week after dropping their first fall tune-up against Southern New Hampshire University on the road, Post University Men's Tennis was back in action over the weekend taking on Franklin Pierce University in Rindge, New Hampshire. For the second straight weekend, the Eagles would fall, losing to the Ravens by a final score of 5-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Touting a similar lineup as the weekend before, the Eagles would win their first doubles point, taking two of the three matches against the Ravens. Junior
Anton Andersson and senior
Niklas Langenfeld would win in the #1 Doubles, 6-4, taking on graduate student Preston Gordon and senior Joe Herin. Meanwhile, Post would steal the #2 Doubles as well with graduate student
Gustavo Kerber and sophomore
Josh Cronje defeating senior Ralph Hiebel and graduate student Alejandro Ortiz, 6-2.
The fianl match of the doubles would end up with juniors
Dante Despontin and
Ivan Kolchanov dropping a tight matchup with graduate student Noe Martin and sophomore Orlando Guerrero, 6-4, but Post would lead 1-0 heading into singles play.
However, five of the six singles matchups would end up going in favor of the Ravens who would take the match 5-2. In a heated three-set #1 Singles match, the Eagles would take their only match of the singles as Kerber would take down Herin, 6-4, 2-6, and then 6-3.
Despite some tight finishes, the Ravens would roll on through the #2 to #6 Singles starting with Heibel's 6-1 and 6-3 victory over Kolchanov and Gordon's 6-0 and 7-5 wins over Despontin. In the final three singles down the line, Ortiz was victorious, 6-0 and 7-5 against Andersson, Martin swiftly defeated Langenfeld with 6-2 and 6-1 set wins, and then finally Guerrero took a nailbiter versus Cronje in the #6 Singles in which both players split the first two sets 6-0 in favor of the Ravens then 6-1 for the Eagles. In the decisive 10-point third set tiebreaker, it would be Guerrero with a 10-5 win to secure a 5-2 team victory for Franklin Pierce.
