Football Falls To Pace

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- Post University Football hit the road this weekend as they ventured over to Pace University's home stadium to battle the Setters where the Eagles were defeated 38-7. The Eagles were able to score a touchdown in the third quarter, but the offensive drive of the Setters was too much as Pace was able to score in each quarter, sealing the win.

The Setters quickly jumped to a 10-0 advantage after the first quarter before continued their rushing dominance to extend their lead to 23 heading into the break.

Coming back from the half, Pace was able to grab another six points thanks to a short rush. But the Eagles kept their heads held high as they powered through to get on the board with 1:56 on the clock after Post's Joshua Tracey rushed eight yards into the end zone after previously rushing 36 thanks to a pass from Simon Burkett to give the Eagles their first touchdown of the game and shrink their deficit, 7-29.

In the fourth, the Eagles stayed strong on defense, holding the Setters scoreless until just under nine minutes remaining in regulation when Pace was able to grab two more points to bring the score to 31-7 before their final touchdown of the game at the 1:44 mark to secure the 38-7 victory with an eight yard run.
