WATERBURY, Conn. -- It was just what the doctor ordered for Post University Women's Volleyball on Tuesday night inside the Drubner Center. Regardless of what the overall record may say for the Eagles, what matters most right now is how they play in conference and with a 3-0 sweeping victory of Caldwell University, Post University moved one step closer to .500 in conference play. The win separated themselves more from Bloomfield College and the Cougars, who are vying for the fourth and final division spot the Eagles hold to get into the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Tournament which gets underway next month.

Caldwell University (1-15, 1-9 CACC)
HOW IT HAPPENED
Jumping out to an early 3-1 lead, the Cougars looked to swing the early momentum in their favor and make some noise on the road against the Eagles. However, a 4-0 run led by junior middle hitter
Hannah Brandt's two service aces quickly turned the tide as Post stormed ahead, 5-3. Another run, this time of 5-0, would ensure for the Eagles behind two kills from junior outside hitter
Caley Harper as well as senior setter
Izabella Rae's two service aces furthering the lead to six points, 10-4.
The lead would remain comfortable at five until the Cougars made the most of three Eagle errors to claw back into the set with a 5-0 run that tied things up at 15 all. Eventually leading by just one, 19-18, Brandt went to work with three more kills, junior setter
Colleen Romero added a kill of her own, and junior outside hitter
Tamara Radovanov finished things off with back-to-back service aces to give Post the first set, 25-18.
Yet again, it would be a quick 3-1 lead for the Cougar to start set number two and in response another run, this time of 5-0, would turn things around for the Eagles who went ahead, 6-3. Around a kill from junior right side hitter Natalie Piper, another 5-0 run ensued for Post behind three service aces from Rae as the Eagles took control and never looked back. Leading by as many as 10 points, Caldwell would only threaten when down to their last gasp with a 5-0 run to close within two, 24-22, before Brandt finished the job with another kill to give the Eagles a 25-22 set win.
It would be all Post in the final set of the evening as they would quickly dig into the Cougars with an 8-1 start to the frame behind three errors and two kills from Harper. The lead would only shrink to as few as four points at 11-7, before the Eagles delivered the finishing blow. Leading 17-12, Post would rip off an 8-0 run to seal the victory as four service aces from Brandt, a couple of Cougar errors, and two kills from Harper gave the Eagles their second straight conference victory with a sweep over Caldwell, 3-0.
