New Haven, CT. -- Former Post University men's basketball star Rasuel McKune was announced as an inductee to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Class of '22 Hall of Fame on Wednesday. McKune is one of four inductees announced by the conference.
McKune was one of the greatest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) men's basketball players in history while at Post. McKune was a 1996 All-American, graduating from Post as the All-time NAIA Division II rebounding leader with 1,631 including leading the NAIA in three seasons. McKune is Post's all-time leader in points (2,165), rebounds, blocks (221), steals (326) and games played (116). He was a three-time CACC Player of the Year and was rookie of the year in the 1994-95 season. McKune was the first student-athlete in University history to have his number retired (#32 in 1998), and went on to play professionally in Europe for several seasons following graduation.
"This is a fantastic class that is entering the CACC Hall of Fame," Commissioner Mara said. "Each individual and team brought regional and national attention to the CACC through their athletic exploits. I look forward to being able to personally congratulate each inductee at their respective induction event that will take place later this year."

HERB MAGEE (Thomas Jefferson University, Men's Basketball Coach) -- The owner of 1,144 career wins, Magee is one of the finest coaches in college basketball history (regardless of division). He is the all-time wins leader in Division II and owns the second highest total across all divisions. Overall, Magee had a .718 winning percentage over 54 seasons as head coach at Jefferson. Magee led his teams to 31 NCAA Tournament appearances, including three regional championships and one national title, and 13 conference championships. The Rams reached the 20-win plateau 38 times with a school-record 30 victories in 1992-93. Magee was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011.
MELISSA MURPHY (Holy Family University, Women's Soccer & Softball Player) -- Murphy had a sensational career on the pitch as she starred from 1999-02. She is the only goalkeeper in program history to hold a career goals against average under 1.00 (0.99) while recording a program record 426 career saves. Murphy was a three-time All-CACC selection and went on to earn the league's player of the year award in 2002. She earned all-region honors and was an NAIA Honorable-Mention All-American. The program thrived under her stellar play as the Tigers won three CACC Championships from 1999-01, and reached the NAIA regional tournament in each of her four seasons. Overall, she had a 43-18-4 career record.
2015 WILMINGTON UNIVERSITY BASEBALL TEAM -- The 2015 Wildcats claimed both the CACC and NCAA Division II East Region Championships during a sensational season on the diamond. WilmU came from behind to win in extra innings versus Chestnut Hill College in the CACC Championship Final, and then won a pair of games on the final day of the NCAA regional to punch its ticket to the Division II World Series. One of those wins on the final day of the regional came against No. 1 nationally-ranked Franklin Pierce University. The team featured Sam Goines (CACC Player of the Year), who was one of seven Wildcats to earn All-CACC honors. Goines, along with Tyler Fries, Christian Adorno and Frank Samluk earned All-America honors. Head Coach Brian August was named the CACC Coach of the Year.
Members of the Class of '22 will officially be inducted into the Hall of Fame at various events on their respective campuses throughout the 2022-23 academic year. The conference will present inductees with a framed portrait recognizing all of their amazing accomplishments.
