Middlebury, Conn. - The Post University women's tennis team defeated Molloy, 6-1 in a non-conference match at Edgewood Bath and Tennis Center on Tuesday afternoon.
The Eagles move to 5-1 on the season, while Molloy falls to 0-4.
In doubles, the Eagles took two of the three matches as
Nina Langenfeld and
Micaela Rosignuolo won their match, 7-5 in doubles no. 2.
Julia D'Occhio and
Oceane Mallevre won their no. 3 doubles match, 6-0.
Post won five of the singles matches, with
Annunciata De-Souza winning 6-3, 6-0 in singles no. 1. It took three sets for Mallevre to win no. 3 singles, 3-6; 6-0, 10-3. In no. 4 singles, Rosignuolo won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1.
Langenfeld won in straight sets in singles no. 5, 6-3, 6-0 and
Natalia Gonzalez did not allow a game in a 6-0, 6-0 sweep of Amanda Oppedisano in singles no. 6.
