Daly Has 47 Saves, But Women’s Hockey Loses To Saint Anselm

Shelton, Conn. – The Post University women's hockey team lost a 3-0 New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) to Saint Anselm on Saturday afternoon at The Rinks at Shelton.

Kaitlyn Daly had 47 saves on the day for the Eagles, tying her for her third highest total of the season.

The two teams were scoreless after the first two periods before the Hawks (10-11-3, 7-5-3 NEWHA) got on the board with back-to-back shorthanded goals from Tyra Turner and Kelly Golini. Turner would tack one more goal on later in the period.

The Eagles had 24 saves on the day, with Sadie Storm, Alexandrea Bednar and Julia Wysocki each with three.

Catherine Proulx won nine faceoffs on the day to lead the Eagles (5-20, 2-12 NEWHA). Jade Giesbrecht won eight.

Up next, the Eagles head to Franklin Pierce to take on the Ravens for a weekend series on Jan. 11 and 12.
