Ajia Named CACC Defensive Player Of The Week; McCall Makes Honor Roll

Waterbury, Conn.  - Post University men's basketball player Abdul-Basit Ajia was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) men's basketball Defensive Player of the Week after his performance in the Eagles' 2-0 week against Goldey-Beacom and Dominican.

Ajia averaged 11 rebounds, four steals and 1.5 blocks to go along with 9.5 points per game.

In the CACC North Division title clinching game against Dominican on Feb. 19, Ajia grabbed 15 rebounds to go along with three blocks, four steals and 11 points in the Eagles' 75-71 win.

Also recognized this week was Devonte McCall, who made the CACC Weekly Honor Roll.

McCall averaged 21 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks during the week, while shooting 55.6 percent from three-point range. He scored 26 points and had six rebounds in the 83-82 win over Godley-Beacom on February 17.

Against Dominican, he had a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.
