Waterbury, CT – Former Post University men's basketball player and recent Post University athletics Hall of Fame inductee
Rasuel McKune will be inducted into the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Hall of Fame on Saturday, January 21
The ceremony will take place at the Drubner Center between the women's and men's basketball games against Goldey-Beacom.
McKune was one of the greatest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) men's basketball players in history while at Post. He was a 1996 All-American, graduating from Post as the All-time NAIA Division II rebounding leader with 1,631 including leading the NAIA in three seasons.
McKune is second at Post in points all time with 2,165, and first in rebounds (1,631), blocks (221), steals (326) and games played (116). He was a three-time CACC Player of the Year and was rookie of the year in the 1994-95 season. McKune was the first student-athlete in university history to have his number retired (#32 in 1998), and went on to play professionally in Europe for several seasons following graduation.
It will also be Alumni Day for the men's basketball program, which will feature an alumni game and luncheon.
