Rindge, N.H. – The Post University women's basketball team lost a 65-48 game to Franklin Pierce on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference game.
Post is now 7-5 overall, while Franklin Pierce is 5-6.
TiJanae Simmons led Post with 15 points, all on three-point shots.
Kiara Eubanks had eight points and four steals, while
Jamie Waldron had seven points.
The two teams were tied up twice in the first quarter before the Ravens finished on a 9-2 run to take a 16-9 lead after the first ten minutes.
Tyree Allen had four points in the quarter.
Post trailed by as much as 14 in the second, 27-13, but finished the final 5:10 strong as four points from Eubanks and a three from Simmons cut the Eagles deficit to 31-26 at the half.
The Ravens crept back up to a 50-40 lead after the third as Colette Mulderig scored eight for them. Post hit three three-pointers in the quarter; two from Simmons.
Simmons opened up the fourth with a three to cut the game to 50-43, but it was the closest the Eagles would get, as Franklin Pierce scored ten straight points to take a 60-43 lead with 5:19 remaining.
Allen finished with six points and two blocks for the Eagles.
Sara McCary scored 16 points to lead the Ravens. Mulderig had 12 and seven rebounds. Ines Gimenez Monserrat had 12 points and nine rebounds.
