Box Score Shelton, CT - The Post University men's hockey team lost a 3-1 game to Saint Anselm on Saturday afternoon in a Northeast-10 contest.
Post is now 1-1 on the season, while the Hawks move to 3-1.
The Eagles opened up the game, taking a 1-0 lead early on at the 3:04 mark in the first as Connor Barter tipped in a shot from Trey DeLoury. It was Barter's first goal of the season.
Post took the one-goal lead into the first intermission, before Mark Leach tied the game for Saint Anselm at 4:21 in the second period. The Hawks scored one more in the period to lead 2-1 heading to the third on a goal from Chase Reynolds.Â
Saint Anselm tacked on one more goal in the third from Will Christensen.
Post had 36 shots on goal on the day, with Patrick Murphy leading the way with five. Connor Murray had four.
Drew Blodgett finished with 37 saves on the day, including 18 in the second period.
Up next, the Eagles will head to Southern New Hampshire to take on the Penmen on Nov. 11 and 12 at 7:30 p.m. and 3:10 p.m., respectively.
