Hartford, CT – The Post University men's ice hockey team lost a 3-1 game to Trinity College on Sunday afternoon.
Drew Blodgett finished with 32 saves, his second highest total of the season.
With Post (3-7-0) down 3-0 in the third, having just allowed a goal,
Ryan Cardow scored his second goal of the season on an assist from Connor Barter to make it a 3-1 game at the 12:51 mark. It was also Barter's second assist of the season.
The Bantams (3-1-0) got on the board with nine seconds left on a goal from Ned Blanchard on a power play to take a 1-0 lead. Blanchard also got an assist on a second period goal from Spencer Korona with 21 seconds remaining in the second to take a 2-0 lead. Nick Royster added one more in the third at 12:20, shortly before Cardow's goal.
Barter and
Niko Grollman led the way with seven faceoff wins for Post.
The Eagles had a season-low eight shots on the day.
Post returns to Northeast-10 action on Friday, December 2 as they begin a weekend series at Franklin Pierce beginning at 7:30 p.m.
