East Meadow, N.Y. - The Post University women's hockey team lost a 3-1 game to Long Island University on Saturday afternoon in New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) action.

After a scoreless first period, the Eagles struck first at the 4:35 mark as Sheridan Terrazzano scored her third goal of the season on assists from Madeleine Noonan and Kiersten Browning.

The Sharks scored less than two minutes later on a goal from Jeannie Wallner as the two teams went into the third tied, 1-1.

Wallner scored her second og the game at the 10:32 mark, giving her four goals for the weekend, to take a 2-1 lead. The Sharks would add one more insurance goal at the 16:22 mark.

Grace Glasrud got the start in net, stopping 39 shots, including 23 in the second period.

Tymmarie Grom led Post with seven faceoff wins.

The Eagles will host Saint Anselm on Nov. 1 at 3:30 p.m. at The Rinks at Shelton.
