Wilmington, De. - The Post University women's tennis team clinched the no. 3 seed in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) tournament after a 4-3 win over Goldey-Beacom in their regular sesaon finale on Tuesday afternoon.
With the match tied at 3-3, the no. 5 singles was the only one in doubt until
Nina Langenfeld won the final set in a 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 win over Hannah Brandl.
Post will now take on no. 2 seed Jefferson at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 22 on the campus of Wilmington University in the CACC semifinals.
The Lightning took the doubles point, however
Annunciata De-Souza and
Micaela Rosignuolo won their doubles no. 1 match, 6-3.
De-Souza and Rosignuolo also won their respective singles matches. De-Souza won hers in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3 while Rosignuolo won no. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0.Â
Oceane Mallevre won her singles no. 4 match, 6-3, 6-2.
