Lakewood, N.J. – The Post University women's soccer team had its school-record seven game winning streak snapped in a 2-0 loss to Georgian Court in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play on Saturday afternoon.
Post is now 7-5 overall and 5-1 in the CACC. The Lions are now 2-4-5 overall and 1-2-3 in the CACC.
The Lions scored in the 21
st minute on a goal from Aliya Canfield and one in the 58
th minute on a goal from Bridgette King.
The two teams were equal in total shots at 13 apiece.
Hailey McGee led the Eagles with four shots, while
Alyssa Hebb had three.
Imelda Lazaro had two saves for the Eagles.
Prior to the Lions goal, the Eagles hadn't allowed a goal in 147 minutes.
Up next, the Eagles will take on Alliance University at 1 p.m. on October 5 in a CACC road game.
