Lakewood, N.J. – Morgan Cassiliano had her ninth game with at least three goals, and senior Lauren Chambers scored two, but the Post University women's lacrosse team was eliminated in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) tournament in a 17-5 loss to Georgian Court on Friday afternoon.
The Eagles are 6-4 on the season. The six wins mark the most in program history.
The Eagles fell behind 4-0 early until Cassiliano scored off an assist from Chambers to make it 4-1 game at the 19:34 mark in the first half.
Post didn't score again until 18 seconds remained in the first as Chambers scored her first of the game. The Lions went into the half up 11-2.
Cassiliano – who made the All-CACC First Team - and Chambers teamed up three times in the second half for the final three goals from the Eagles. Chambers scored her second at the 18:45 mark on an assist from Cassiliano. Cassiliano scored at the 6:14 and 3:51 mark in the second off assists from Chambers on both goals.
The Eagles won eight draw controls on the day, led by Chambers with three. The Eagles completed 16 of their 26 attempts.
All-CACC second team goaltender Christina Badaracco had a season-high 16 saves for the Eagles
Sabrina Chandler and Riley O'Connor scored four goals apiece for Georgian Court.
