Chacua And Heald Have Hat Trick, But Men’s Lacrosse Loses To Georgian Court In CACC Tournament

Lakewood, N.J. – Senior Carlos Chacua and freshman Dylan Heald each had a hat trick, but the Post University men's lacrosse team lost to Georgian Court, 20-8 in the quarterfinals of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) tournament on Tuesday, ending its season.

Chacua scored all three goals in the second half for his second hat trick of the season. It was the fourth game this season that Heald has scored three or more goals in a game.

Post conceded the first goal of the game before Quran Langston took a pass from Brendan Kelleher and took a shot that went by GCU goalie, Austin Geissel to tie the game at 1-1 with 8:51 left.

The Lions scored the next five goals before Heald responded with his first of the game to make it a 6-2 game.  Post trailed 9-2 at the half.

Heald and Chacua scored back-to-back goals to open the third period to cut the deficit to 9-4.

The Lions opened their lead back up to a ten goal lead at 15-5 and the Eagles again would cut the deficit to 15-7 on goals from Heald and Chacua, but that would be as close as the Eagles would get the rest of the way.

Nick Meier added a goal, his 17th in the final minute of the game to go along with his assist on the day. Kelleher finished with three assists and five ground balls. Chacua added an assist.

Heald's three goals gave him 20 on the season to lead the Eagles.

Michael Ventresca led all Lions with four goals.
