Women’s Lacrosse Loses Finale To Jefferson; Will Host Caldwell In CACC Tournament

Philadelphia, Pa. – Cara DiStefano and Molly Dobratz each scored a pair of goals, but the Post University women's lacrosse team lost its final regular season game of the season against Jefferson on Saturday afternoon, 20-6 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) game.

The Eagles finished their regular season at 5-3, which is the first time in school history they have finished a season above .500.

After giving up the first three goals of the game, Lotanna Nwabudu got the Eagles on the board at the 24:41 mark of the first half to make it a 3-1 game.

DiStefano scored her first goal of the game at 11:10 of the first half to make it a 6-2 game, but the Eagles went into the half down 9-2.

DiStefano scored less than two minutes into the second half. Morgan Cassiliano would tack on a goal and Dobratz would score her two in the second half.

Cassiliano's 35 goals on the season ranked her second for the season. Her 39 points tied her for seventh.

Up next, the Eagles – seeded fourth - will host fifth-seeded Caldwell in the first round of the CACC tournament at LaMoy Field on Wednesday, May 5th. A time will be announced at a later date. The Eagles beat Caldwell 18-17 in an April 14th matchup earlier in the season.
