Devonte McCall was named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player and Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday.
McCall had a standout week, averaging 21 points, 50 percent shooting from the field, 80 percent from three, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 blocks and one steal during Post's 1-1 week.
During the Eagles' big 65-63 road non-conference win over Saint Anselm, McCall had 11 points, three rebounds two blocks and two steals. He made the final two field goals of the game for the Eagles, including the game-winner with 20 seconds left as well as the game-winning block off of the backboard on a layup attempt as the buzzer sounded, to secure the win for the Eagles.
In a tough 91-90 overtime loss to Bentley on December 18, McCall had 31 points, eight rebounds, three blocks and two assists while going 3-for-4 from three. He also gave the Eagles the lead in overtime with two seconds left with a jumper in the lane.
This is the second time this season McCall has won Defensive Player of the Week and the first time winning Player of the Week.
McCall is currently seventh in the CACC and first on the Eagles in scoring at 18.5 points per game and second in total points at 204. He also leads the conference in total blocks with 23 and is eighth in rebounds per game at 7.2. He has also been a marksman from deep, hitting 45.7 percent of his threes, putting him fifth in the CACC.
