Shelton, Conn. – Julia Wysocki scored her first career goal, but the Post University women's hockey team lost, 6-1 to Long Island University in a New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) match.
Wysocki's goal came in the second period at the 6:37 mark as she wrapped around the goal with a backhanded shot to make it a 3-1 game at the time.
The Sharks scored one more time in the second on Jeannie Wallner's second goal of the game and period. They'd tack on two more in the third, including a power play goal by Maggie Culp.
Kaitlyn Daly stopped 18 shots in net for the Eagles.
Sheridan Terrazzano led the Eagles with four shots on the day.
Up next, the Eagles will travel to Saint Anselm for games on Friday Nov. 12 and Saturday, Nov. 13 at 4 p.m. and 1 p.m., respectively.
