Tampa, Fla. – The Post University baseball team lost its second straight game to No. 1 Tampa, 20-0 on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference game.
The Eagles now sit at 0-2 on the season.
Junior Brycin Hernandez went 2-for-4 for the Eagles at the plate. On the mound, junior Mike Lisinicchia struck out five in 2.1 innings. As a pitching staff, the Eagles combined for nine strikeouts.
Tampa scored ten runs in the first and two in the second to take an early 12-0 lead early on. J.D. Urso went 4-for-5 with three hits and a run for the Spartans. Mauro Conde also homered.
Both teams will wrap up its three game series in Tampa on Monday at 1 p.m.
