Manchester, N.H. - The Post University women's ice hockey team traveled to New Hampshire to take on Saint Anselm in the quarterfinals of the New England Women's Hockey Alliance (NEWHA) tournament Tuesday night. The Eagles fell short to the defending NEWHA champions, 8-1.

The night started out hopeful for the Eagles when freshman
Catherine Proulx scored the first goal of the game at the 5:24 mark of the first period. The goal was set up by a pass from freshman
Victoria Paton. Proulx's goal would go on to be the only shot the Eagles could net for the rest of the game.

Jenna Baumgartner finished the game with a season-high 60 saves. Paton, Proulx, and freshman
Jenna Abeyta led the Eagles with three shots.

Saint Anselm's (15-13-3) Megan Klaus scored 4 goals on the night. The Hawks will move on to the NEWHA Semifinals when they play Franklin Pierce on Saturday.

The Eagles finished the season 12-22-0, 2-18-0 NEWHA. They played their final game ever with the first senior class in program history.
