Philippi, W.V. – The Post University sprint football team lost to Alderson Broaddus on Saturday afternoon, 21-2 in a Collegiate Sprint Football League game Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles fell to 0-2 on the young season.
Quarterback Nick D'Elia was 10-for-22 passing with 52 yards. Robert Sherry III had 33 yards receiving on five receptions.
Down 21-0, the Eagles scored on a safety in the fourth quarter to cut their deficit to 21-2.
Daniel Benjamin led the Eagles with eight tackles and a sack. Dante Gilbert also had a sack for Post.
Up next, the Eagles take on the University of Pennsylvania at 11 a.m. on September 28 at LaMoy Field for the Eagles home opener on Homecoming Day.
