For the second straight season and for the fourth time in six years, Post University will host both the Men's and Women's Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) semifinals and finals at both LaMoy Field and Municipal Stadium.
The first round games will be played at the home of the higher seed on Nov. 11 for the men's tournament and Nov. 12 for the women. The semifinals will be held on Friday, Nov. 15 as the women will play at LaMoy Field, and the men will play at Municipal Stadium. Both finals will be held at LaMoy Field, with the men's championship being held first, followed by the women.
Post's men's soccer team will come in as the defending champion in its tournament as it defeated Wilmington, 2-0 in the title game last season. Head coach
Ted Haley is looking forward to Post hosting the tournament again.
"It is fantastic news that we will be hosting the CACC Soccer Championships at Post University again in 2019," Haley said. "
Ronnie Palmer and the entire Post athletic department working in conjunction with Dan Mara and the CACC staff did an excellent job supporting the student athletes during an exciting week of soccer. We look forward to another successful event in November 2019!"
Women's head coach
Stephanie Demake will be returning for her second year as head coach of the Eagles and looks forward to having the tournament played in front of the Eagle fans.
"We are incredibly fortunate to have the facilities and resources to host the CACC Soccer Championships for the second consecutive year. It's a great opportunity for our programs to compete at home with the support of our community, friends, and families," Demake said.
Last season, Caldwell took home the women's title with a 2-0 win over Holy Family.
The winner of the CACC Championship will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Men's and Women's East Region Tournaments.
