Women's Hockey Drops NEWHA Match To Franklin Pierce

Winchendon, Mass.– Eagles goalkeepers combined for 39 saves, but the Post University women's hockey team lost 9-0 to Franklin Pierce in a New England Women's Hockey Alliance matchup on Friday evening.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Daly had 20 of those saves for the Eagles and senior Jenna Baumgartner had 19.

The Ravens scored three goals in the first period, five in the second and one in the third. Nicole Amato was the lone multiple goal scorer for FPU, scoring two.

Freshman Emily Racco and senior Molly Brumfield each led the Eagles with three shots on goal.

The two teams will meet again on Saturday at 6 p.m.
