SHELTON, Conn - The Eagles and Pioneers took to the ice at the Sportscenter of Connecticut to play a make-up a game previously postponed due to weather. 

Sacred Heart wasted no time getting on the board. Anna Klein, Kennedy Spiering and Jayne Lewis each scored a goal within the first three minutes of the first period. 

The score remained 3-0 for the next 27 minutes of play until Katie Stueve connected on a second period goal to add on to the Pioneers lead. 

The next two goals of the game belonged to Haley Payne, scoring with under one minute left in the second period and with just over one minute remaining in the third period. 

Victoria Grimmer capped off the scoring with Sacred Heart's seventh goal with only 30 seconds left in the game. 

For the Eagles, Kristin Smith racked up 70 saves in 60 minutes of play. 

Savanna Stevenson blocked five shots on the defensive end. 

Next Up - Women's Hockey will host Nazareth College for a weekend series at the Sportscenter of Connecticut in Shelton, Conn. (Friday - 3:00 p.m., Saturday - 4:00 p.m.)
