WATERBURY, Conn - The Eagles jumped out to as large as an 18-point lead against the Wildcats of Wilmington (4:32 mark in the 4th) on the backs of Melanie Polanco, Lauren Chambers and Sha'Raya Haines who combined for 57 points.

The biggest story of the game was the Eagles 23 offensive rebounds. These rebounds led to 16 second chance points and helped extend important possessions down the stretch. Gabriela Middleton led in rebounding on the game with 12, including two on the offensive end.

An evenly played first quarter that ended at 16-16 was followed by an explosive second quarter by the Eagles. Post outscored Wilmington 25-12 while shooting 56% from the field. Melanie Polanco went 4-5 from the field with nine points in the quarter.

Post came out of the half with a 41-28 lead and did a good job of protecting it throughout the third quarter. Lauren Chambers scored six consecutive points between the 2:52 and 1:36 mark to go along with her 18 points on the game. Chambers also contributed with five boards and 5 assists.

Neither team scored a point for the first three minutes of the fourth quarter until Polanco drained a three to spark a 12-2 Eagles run over a four minute stretch to go up 68-50. However, the Wildcats answered with a 12-0 run of their own in only two minutes of play to cut the lead back to six just under the two minute mark. Free throws loomed large down the stretch and Post was up to the task of the closing the game out, hitting on 8 of their last 10 from the stripe on the way to winning the game 78-73.

Sha'Raya Haines led the team in three point makes with three. Haines scored a total of 15 points along with 6 boards and two assists.
