CALDWELL, N.J. - The Eagles and Cougars showdown included important playoff implications in the CACC north division. Both teams entered the game with a 4-6 record in conference play.

Sha'Raya Haines put together a big first quarter, scoring eight points, including two three-point shots to start off the game. Post trailed 17-13 at the conclusion of the first quarter.

Post enjoyed the scoring advantage in the second quarter, outscoring Caldwell 17-11. Haines led the team in first half scoring with 11, followed by two-time reigning CACC Rookie of the Week Melanie Polanco with nine points.

The second half did not begin the way Post hoped it would. Four points would be all they scored in the first seven minutes of the third quarter. Despite the slow start, Post only trailed by six points going into the final quarter.

The Cougars opened up the fourth quarter on a 10-0 run to take a 16 point advantage on way to winning the game 61-47

Gabriela Middleton delivered a solid second half of play, scoring eight points on 2-4 shooting from the field. On the game, Middleton scored 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Turnovers were the story in this one. The Eagles turned the ball over a total of 23 times, leading to 34 points (off turnovers) by the Cougars.
