Post Women's soccer (1-6-1) put forth a great effort against a tough Goldey Beacom College (7-1) side in today's 3-4 2OT loss. 

Allison Zollo (Monson, MA) chipped away at the 2-0 GBC lead for Post's first goal of the game. This goal would prove to be an igniter for Post. Zollo finished the game with one goal and one assist.

With 20 minutes left in the second half, Gorgi Van Lienen (Palmerston, New Zealand) scored the first of her two goals. This strike would tie the game at 2-2 and give the eagles new life. 

After conceding a goal to make it 3-2, Van Lienen got loose again and capitalized on a great look at goal to tie the game one more time.

Regulation ended with the score tied at 3-3.

The first overtime period came and went with no goals. However, in the second overtime, Goldey Beacom was able to find the back of the net with only a couple of minutes left to play.

With two straight strong showings, the eagles will carry some positive momentum into a Wednesday road game vs Felician (9/26, 5:30 p.m.)
