Brookville, N.Y. – The Eagles won all three of their doubles matches for a key point and split the singles matches in a 4-3 win over LIU Post for the women's tennis team's first win of the season.
Junior Areej Farah (Janabiyah, Bahrain) and freshman Dea Lako (Split, Croatia) won 6-4 in No. 1 Doubles. Junior Andrea Sandoval (Guadalajara, Mexico) and senior Juliana Seabra (Sao Paulo, Brazil) won their match 7-5 in No. 2 doubles and senior Sarah Namazi (Waterbury, Conn.) and Jessica Bergen (Bethel, Conn.) won the No. 3 doubles, 6-1.
In the singles matches, Lako won no. 3 singles after her opponent, Charlotte Hynes retire. Namazi won in straight sets over Isabelle Bifulco in No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-1 and Bergen didn't give up a game in a 6-0, 6-0 straight set win over Katie Kumpas in No. 6 singles.
