Women’s Tennis Win For Second Straight Day

The Eagles were on the road for a second straight day and collected another victory, this time a 7-0 win over Franklin Pierce University.

Doubles matches were handed in convincing fashion. Freshmen Dea Lako (Split Croatia)  and Junior Areej Farah (Janabiyah, Bahrain) won their match 6-2. Junior Andrea Sandoval (Guadalajara, Mexico) and senior Juliana Seabra (Sao Paulo, Brazil) won their match 6-0. Senior Sarah Namzi (Waterbury, CT) and junior Jessica Bergen (Bethel, CT) finished the doubles sweep with a 6-2 victory. 

Singles went much like doubles for the ladies, a clean sweep. Andrea Sandoval, Areej Farah, Dea Lako, Julianna Seabra, Sarah Namazi and Jessica Bergen all won their matches in straight sets. 

This win improved women's tennis record to 2-2 on the year. Next up is a Saturday matchup vs Chestnut Hill College at Edgewood Bath and Tennis in Middlebury, CT.
