MIDDLEBURY, Conn. – The Post University men's tennis team wrapped up Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play with a 7-2 win over USciences on Thursday afternoon. The Eagles (4-10, 2-2 CACC) clinched the third seed in the conference tournament, host by Post next weekend.
The Eagles took two points in doubles to start the match. Juniors
Peter Rossel (Vienna, Austria) and
Jonathan Compres (Rockland County, N.Y.) won their No. 3 doubles match 8-1. Junior
Ivan Rajevac (Dubrovnik, Croatia) and sophomore
Samuel Urban (Košice, Slovakia) won at No. 2, 8-3.
Rossel picked up a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles over Evan Halperin. Seniors
Nikola Crvelin (Kaštel Lukšic, Croatia) and
Ludvig Henrikson (Taby, Sweden) and sophomore
Joe Alvord (Southbury, Conn.) all took their singles matches in straight sets to lead Post to victory.
Post will play its final regular season match on Sunday, April 15 at home against Franklin Pierce. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
