ORLANDO, Fla. – The Post University men's tennis team was defeated by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 7-2 on Monday afternoon at the UTSA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. The Eagles fall to 0-4 on the young season.
Sophomore
Samuel Urban (Košice, Slovakia) won his second straight singles match with a 6-4, 6-4 victory over McKinley Grimes. Sophomore
Joe Alvord (Southbury, Conn.) earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles over Suryansh Patel.
The Eagles dropped all three doubles matches. Juniors
Jonathan Compres (Rockland County, N.Y.) and
Peter Rossel (Vienna, Austria) lost a close 9-7 match at No. 3.
Post returns to action tomorrow in Orlando against Daemen. First serve is set for 6:30 p.m.
