When and Where: October 24 - Post at Concordia - Women's Soccer - Bronxville, NY
Records: Post: 4-10-2 (4-7-1) - Concordia 2-12 (2-10)
Post took on Concordia at Holtdorf field in the venue's final home game, as they are moving to a brand new facility in the 2019 season.
Things did not go as planned for the Eagles.
Concordia took an early lead after a goal in the 6th minute and never looked back. The Clippers found the back of the net about 20 minutes later to extend the lead to 2-0, which would be the final score.
Imelda Lazaro stopped ten shots in her second start of the season.
Kylee Opper and Taylor Brown shared the team lead in shots and shots on goal with two each.
CACC Notes:
- With today's loss, Post (13 points) was bumped out of a CACC Tournament spot due to a tiebreaker scenario - Nyack won, giving them 16 points and Dominican won, giving them 13 points and the tiebreaker advantage over Post with their head-to-head win
Tough Luck:
- The Eagles injury issues can not go overlooked. Standout performers Gorgi Van Lienen and Fenna Maarse each missed crucial games down the stretch while GK Cheyenne Grim suffered a serious shoulder injury towards the end of the season
- Head Coach Stephanie Demake was left with a short bench in the second half of CACC play and those who played were battling through injuries of their own
